The City of Marion's plan is to achieve compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). This includes sidewalks, crosswalks, bus stops, pedestrian signals, pedestrian ramps and other features related to the safe movement of pedestrians. The City of Marion updated its ADA Transition Plan in 2023.

In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the ADA, the City of Marion will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities. The City will make all reasonable modifications to policies and programs to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to enjoy all of its services, programs and activities. Anyone who wishes to file a complaint alleging discrimination on the basis of disability in the provision of services, programs or activities by the City of Marion can submit a Grievance Form
