Marion Mayor Nick AbouAssaly highlighted a decade of growth and opportunities that have made Marion the place where people and businesses want to be during the 31st annual Marion State of the City address.

His presentation entitled, “Building a Premier Community,” was delivered before more than 630 attendees at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cedar Rapids Convention Complex on March 11, 2025.

The mayor's remarks highlighted the ways that Marion is focusing on quality of life, quality of place and providing opportunities for all people. The mayor also spoke about how Marion is blessed with a strong business community and is doing its part to shape a vibrant region.
