The Marion Civil Rights Commission is hosting its second speaker in a new speaker series to encourage dialogue relative to civil rights issues. The presentation will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2 in the Council Chambers at Marion City Hall (1225 6th Avenue, Marion).
The program is offered free of charge and the public is encouraged to attend.
Wilford Stone, a Cedar Rapids-based employment attorney will speak on several recent high profile employment discrimination and harassment lawsuits. He will provide tips for recognizing and preventing discrimination in the workplace.
Stone grew up in Marion and graduated from the University of Iowa and Georgetown University law schools. He is an attorney with Lynch Dallas, P.C.
