On Monday, July 14, 2025, Cedar Falls Construction will begin new segments of the 2025 Pavement Patching Project. Three high-traffic road segments will be closed so that crews can repair roadways and extend the life of those showing signs of deterioration.

Marion residents and members of the business community are invited to a public reception on Wednesday, July 9, to meet the four finalists who will be interviewing to be Marion’s next chief of police. The open house will take place at the Lowe Park Arts & Environment Center from 6-7:30 p.m.

One Friday per month in June, July and August, an outdoor movie will be shown at select neighborhood parks in Marion. The movies are scheduled to begin around 8:30 p.m. or dusk. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs/blankets for open lawn seating. Outside food and drink are permitted.
