The Marion Water Department prepares and mails the City’s utility bill. Most residential users are billed every two months, while most commercial accounts are billed monthly.

The City's utility bill includes fees for:

  • water consumption and well maintenance
  • garbage, recycling and yard waste collection
  • sanitary sewer replacement
  • sewer treatment
  • urban forestry tree maintenance
  • stormwater pipe maintenance

Payment may be made through the Water Department’s Check-Free Payment Program, credit card, debit card, personal check, cash and money order. The Water Department accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover cards. Online payments are accepted through this online portal

The department is able to send the utility bill electronically to those who request this option. Contact the Water Department with any billing questions at 319-743-6310. There is a drop-box located in the Marion Water Department parking lot at 3050 5th Avenue.
