Marion City Hall and other City offices will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 31 and Thursday Jan. 1 for the New Year’s holiday. Regular business hours resume on Friday, Jan. 2. Police, Fire and other critical City services will continue to be provided.
Marion Public Library will close at 2:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and will remain closed on Jan. 1.
Garbage and recycling will not be collected on New Year’s Day. Pick-up will be delayed by a day for Thursday and Friday routes. Curbside collection of real Christmas trees will be provided Dec. 26 - Jan. 9, residents should set trees out on their regular garbage collection day.
The Public Services Facility and compost area will be open regular business hours on New Year’s Eve. The Public Services Facility and compost area will be closed Jan. 1 and 2.
The Recycling Drop-off Center located at 195 35th Street will maintain its normal Saturday hours from 8:00 a.m.-4:15 p.m.
Utility payments will be accepted via either drop box located outside Marion City Hall. Drop boxes are located at the building entrance along 6th Avenue and near the 12th Street driveway entrance.
