Marion City Hall and other City offices will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Thursday, Dec. 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday. Regular business hours resume on Friday, Dec. 26. Police, Fire and other critical City services will continue to be provided.
Marion Public Library will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Garbage and recycling will not be collected on Christmas Day. Pick-up will be delayed by a day for Thursday and Friday routes. Residents are allowed one free extra bag of garbage the week following Christmas. Curbside collection of real Christmas trees will be provided Dec. 26 - Jan. 9, residents should set trees out on their regular garbage collection day.
The Public Services Facility and compost area will be open regular business hours on Christmas Eve. The Public Services Facility and compost area will be closed Dec. 25 and 26.
The Recycling Drop-off Center located at 195 35th Street will maintain its normal Saturday hours from 8:00 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.
Utility payments will be accepted via either drop box located outside Marion City Hall. Drop boxes are located at the building entrance along 6th Avenue and near the 12th Street driveway entrance.
