Did you know that 82 percent of child safety seats are used incorrectly?

On Saturday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. the Marion Police and Fire Departments will be offering child safety seat checks at Fire Station No. 2 located at 3933 Katz Drive in Marion. A certified child safety seat technician will be on hand to inspect car seats for safe installation.

To take advantage of this free service, bring your vehicle, child safety seat and/or booster seat, and owner’s manuals for both the vehicle and safety seat. It is also recommended that the child or children be present.
